FAQS

No, we welcome both registered and non-registered patients for emergency appointments.

The cost of an emergency dental appointment can be found on our fees page. The cost of your dental treatment can vary depending on the problem and any treatment required.

We will always explain any costs clearly before starting treatment.

We aim to provide immediate relief and may begin treatment during your emergency appointment. However, some treatments may require a follow-up visit depending on complexity.

No, a dental infection will not go away without treatment. While symptoms may temporarily improve, the infection will remain. Our dentists can give you full detailed advice during your appointment.

If you experience pain, trauma, swelling, or damage to a tooth, contact the practice as soon as possible. Our team will assess your situation and arrange an urgent appointment where needed.

During your appointment, the dentist will:

 • Examine the problem
 • Identify the cause
 • Relieve pain where possible
 • Explain your options

The priority is to get you comfortable and stabilise the issue.

Tooth pain can feel worse at night because lying down increases blood flow to the head, which can increase pressure in the affected tooth. There are also fewer distractions, making the pain feel more intense.

What is included in your emergency appointment?

Getting a patient out of immediate pain is our priority, and we aim to see emergency patients within 48 hours where possible. This appointment includes an assessment of the cause of pain, any X-rays that may be required, and initial treatment to help relieve discomfort. If necessary, a prescription for antibiotics may also be provided. A full treatment plan will then be discussed for any further treatment required, which may incur additional charges and will be explained to you before proceeding

Always friendly and professional. The staff always answer any questions I have and put me at ease. Jack is a lovely dentist and there’s not many I’ve trusted but I definitely do trust him. Hygienist also equally lovely and professional

I want to say a massive thank you to all of the staff at The Parks Dental Clinic. I first visited the practice back in February after an unfortunate experience at my previous dentist. From my initial consultation with Dr Hedani Lopez and dental nurse Gracie, they both put me completely at ease.

The treatment plan has been a great success! I'm so much happier now, and my teeth and gums are much healthier too.
I'd also like to give a special mention to the reception team. I absolutely dread going to the dentist. Since starting at The Parks Dental Clinic I can honestly say I don't have that feeling anymore. All the staff are polite and friendly. My treatment has been great. A lot of care is taken to make this as comfortable for you as possible. Wish I'd started with them sooner.

Nice pleasant staff. Suroundings are clean and welcoming. Lots of information about different treatments available to read. Not pushed into selecting the most expensive option but shown what else is available.

Had a fantastic experience gaining my confidence in my smile through 8 composites on my top teeth. The process was simple and has improved my dental care routine no end, I couldn’t have enough pictures or smile widely enough once done. I love the plan where I have 6 monthly check ups and composite maintenance. I had the pleasure of having Amy and Dillon for my later appointments and have never felt in more safe hands. Amy listened to my concerns with some wear and tear and helped get my smile back to fresh and new. Perfectionists when I comes to teeth is the best and I knew she wouldn’t let me leave unless she was 100% happy with the result. I can’t recommend them enough, my biggest issue was trying not to giggle to their interactions and stories. Will be booking in with Amy and Dillon for as long as they will have me :) can’t thank you both enough.

Today, I visited The Parks Dental Clinic for the first time for a full consultation. Having never been to a dentist before and experiencing some dental issues that required further investigation, I was understandably quite anxious about the appointment. My partner recommended this practice after receiving excellent care since beginning her own treatment in February. Hearing about her positive experience inspired me to take action and prioritise my own dental health. Dr Hedani Lopez and the dental nurse, Gracie, were both wonderful throughout my visit. They were friendly, professional, and took the time to put me at ease, which meant a lot given that this was my first dental appointment in 23 years. I had been expecting the worst, so I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. While I do require some treatment, the results were far better than I had imagined. I am looking forward to starting my dental health journey and receiving the ongoing care outlined in my treatment plan. I would happily recommend this dental practice to anyone seeking professional, compassionate, and reassuring dental care. Thank you!

We have been coming for my daughter checkups since she was little and I really like that the dentist has stayed the same and has built a rapport with my daughter. She has no worries about attending appointments because it’s such a nice and stress free experience.
